Our Story

Just A Wish began on a dusty afternoon in a market somewhere far from home — the kind of place where time stretches and the smell of sandalwood seems to come from the walls themselves.
We came back with a suitcase full of textiles, a few brass lanterns, and a wish: to bring a piece of that feeling to the Garden Route. One small shop turned into three — first Mossel Bay, then George, and now Sedgefield — and the wandering never really stopped.
Today we still travel a few times a year, still hand-pick every piece, and still unpack each shipment like it's the very first one. We're not a chain. We're not mass-produced. We're a small family of people who believe that what you wear, what you burn, and what you put on your floor should mean something.
Stay a while. Smell the incense. Run your hands across the fabrics.
01
Every piece is chosen one by one — by feel, story and soul.
02
We work with small workshops and family looms, never factories.
03
Honest trade, paid prices, and long relationships with our makers.
04
Once when it's made. Again when it finds its way home with you.

A note from us
Every customer becomes part of the story — the one we'll be telling on the next dusty afternoon, in the next market, far from home.
